In the Netherlands we have the following higher education degrees:
HBO = University of Applied Sciences (professional studies)
Associate degree (two years)
Bachelor degree (four years) = undergraduate
Master degree (one or two years) = postgraduate
Universiteit = University (scientific studies)
Bachelor degree (three years) = undergraduate
Master degree (one, two or three years) = postgraduate
