Responsibility
A wide-ranging leadership role for an experienced, visionary and highly effective HSE&S Director
Health, Safety, Environment & Security (HSE&S) is integral to all AkzoNobel’s objectives and our strategy is to deliver leading performance across all our activities in terms of HSE&S standards, performance and capability.
Within this context, your mission in this role is to lead HSE&S activities across our world leading Performance Coatings (PC) Business Area (BA). In particular you identify critical gaps in HSE&S
capability and resources, develop and support the implementation of long term plans to close those gaps. Where necessary you leverage HSE&S capability and resources from outside the BA, which demands strong networking skills to ensure cooperation across organizational boundaries.
A further core task is to assist the BA leader and the BA Operations Director in allocating HSE&S improvement tasks to the appropriate members of the BA Management Team, coaching them in their (HSE&S) roles. This requires strong influencing skills as you create ownership across supply chain, manufacturing, site directors, HR directors, administration, finance, marketing, sales, RD&I, and other functions.
Is this a challenge that matches your talents and ambitions as an entrepreneurial and results oriented problem solver and negotiator with real project management skills? Can you drive the continuous improvement of HSE&S processes, policies, and standards? Do you have the interpersonal skills to work inclusively with the HSE&S community so that the business experiences ‘one voice’ that will meet collective objectives? Above all, can you make a real difference within our dynamic, multinational and multicultural business environment?
If you offer all this and more, we invite you to apply for the position of
