Global HR Change and Release Coordinator
The role and its responsibilities
This role is part of a newly established global HR Systems & Support team in AkzoNobel’s global HR shared services organization (GBS People Services) and can be either based in AkzoNobel’s corporate center (Amsterdam or Arnhem) or in one of the 5 regional GBS Service Delivery Centers in Warsaw (Poland), Pune (India), Suzhou (China), Sao Paulo (Brazil) or Nashville (USA).
Your core purpose is to lead the review, testing and implementation of global HR system releases or patches. In doing so you act as a multi-facing Project and Change Manager, constantly collaborating with functional and technical stakeholders to ensure that everyone is involved and informed in a timely manner.
By preparing and facilitating the Change & Design Board, you ensure that we arrive at HR processes and solutions that are intuitive, effective and efficient. Thus you create, coordinate and perform User Acceptance Tests, co-create training materials, and check the feasibility of Change Requests. You also provide impact assessments, advise our Centers of Expertise, and process validated change processes.
Further, you drive standardization in line with AkzoNobel best practices, and review changes/exceptions from standard and best practices.
You propose changes for approval to the Steering Committee and drive the adoption of system changes.
Finally, you provide input to the Design Authority after conducting the necessary research (for example on the SuccessFactors customer portal).
Candidate profile
- To apply for this position you must possess all the following attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, HR or equivalent;
- 3-5 years of experience in IT change & release management;
- Strong conceptualization and visual communication ability;
- A high level of proficiency in Excel;
- Able to deal with global stakeholders and build customer relationships;
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including a high standard of English.
